With that said, the linked thread states that "A Quiet Place: Day One" can only be considered part of the "A Quiet Place" collection if the studio renames "A Quiet Place Part III" to "A Quiet Place Part IV". That logic precludes prequels from being considered part of a collection. This sentiment is echoed in the very first sentence of the collection bible ("Collections should only be used for true movie sequels.") I do not fault the mods for following the rules; rather, I fault the author(s) of the rules for creating them. Perhaps it is time to rewrite the rules to allow for prequels to be included in collections.

For clarity, the third movie in this collection is called "A Quiet Place: Day One", not "A Quiet Place Part III".

"A Quiet Place: Day One" and "A Quiet Place Part III" are 2 different movies.
"A Quiet Place: Day One" is a spin-off and, as such, can't be added to this collection.
"A Quiet Place Part III" is the next sequel currently in development and is correctly part of this collection.
I also invite you to read this previous content report.

John Krasinski says "A Quiet Place: Day One" is the prequel. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woifMRP_gdQ, specifically from 3:23 to 4:00.
