I love this movie so much. It's just a beautiful story. The scene where Birdy envisions himself as a bird flying through town and up into the sky is one of my all-time favorite scenes.

I only found out about Birdy a few years ago when I was looking through Cage's filmography. It doesn't get the appreciation or recognition it deserves. I hope it eventually comes out on blu-ray.
