Ennio Morricone's soundtrack

I remember very little about this movie but I do remember falling in love with Ennio Morricone's music for it. Just simply beautiful.

This movie is in my top 5 all time favourites. Everything about it (story, acting , cinematography) and yes of course the soundtrack. This is Ennio at his best.

Oh yes, one of The Maestro's finest!
What a travesty, that it wasn't until 2016, that Mr. Morricone finally won his first Oscar .... he has created so many iconic and beautiful soundtracks!

I watched this movie the first time maybe 15 years ago, and Gabriel's Oboe is to this day one of the most beautiful piece of music I know.
