He gave it much needed humor. I love that scene where talks about that woman who broke all his plates as and he had to calm her down.

He was a great character... Ther'se some nice humour mixed into all the gore...
The rifle scene at the end was hillarious!

Pretty sure I heard somewhere that the guy was a lifelong theater actor and that was his first ever movie appearance.
