Yeah tmdb has been around for ages and offers up everything imdb had and more. It really just comes down to user uptake to make it a success.
i noticed that tmdb doesnt list games in its database. so if for example some actor has also done some game it wont be listed in their filmography. imdb offered that information and that was handy sometimes but i dont think that would be a huge problem with tmdb
Haha I'm also trying out tmdb for the first time. This is my first discussion comment on here, yay!!
So far as the movie goes, I actually quite enjoyed it. But I can see why it's an acquired taste. I went to see it with several non-gamers and they really liked it too, but I know a couple of others who say it's "meh" so... honestly, if you like unique action/sci-fi movies, give it a chance. You may just be glad you did! :)
i know the game but didnt like it much. whole concept made me cringe for some reason. so i hoped movie would be better. on the other hand i liked Prince of Persia game so i was more excited when they made movie adaptation. they should have continued with its sequels instead of making this. movie industry is more strict. it doesnt forgive failures in box office so dont think this will have sequels either
I haven't seen the film but I've played all the games so obviously enjoy them quite a bit but I gotta say the story is pure tosh for the most part. Wouldn't of been my choice for the big screen personally
It's pretty good, and so is the movie. Hope this board picks up as I really would like to continue to communicate with other film fans and also try to keep promoting a movie project i'm trying to work out on Youtube. Want it to be funny, engaging, and informative look at movies. Here's a review for this movie if anyone is interested-https://youtu.be/Um2-B6Gs_QU
Hey CraigJames, I actually remember watching your review for the movie back in December right before I went to see the movie. Really great review man, I'll definitely be supporting you and watching your videos in the future!! I was happy to hear you call it "a f---ing masterpiece" lol XD
It is definitely worth watching if you have any fondness for 'assassin' genre of movies and/ or have played or enjoyed the games. As a film, objectively, I don't think it's very good at all, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. It's an easy watch and quite fun for the most part.
Worth watching? If you played the game/s or enjoyed the trailer I'd say it's worth a rent. I saw it theatrically and while I didn't feel I'd wasted my money I can't say that I'd tell anyone to rush out and see it.
If you like the AC series and overall the games, you're more than likely to enjoy this. At least you get the basic idea for the lore. All I can say this movie actually follows the first game (Assassin's Creed) plots quite similarly with some changes and twists.
I did not like the movie, the same issues I have with the game to be honest is the going back to the present, it takes you right out of the immersion. The lack of blood bothered me a bit also.

I don't know how he did it but Linklater found a way to continue his sequels to a trilogy that bombed in theaters.

it's so-so.
also, I just updated my bookmarks to tmdb. Imdb should have introduced what they intent to introduce in 2017 and then shut down the board.

Definitely worth the watch, but not a second time around. The story itself was garbage and the ending was cheap as hell.
