I think this is my favourite Harrison Ford film... Great to see him play an actual human being in an actual film, rather than just being an action hero or just a grunting protagonist...
Kristin Scott Thomas was so good in this... Such a subtle performance... Beautiful woman...
I wish they made more mainstream movies like this... I wish we could see adults on the big screen again who weren't just establishment villains or bit actors in a period movie...

I didn't like it a much as I like Harrison as an action movie star. Random Hearts wasn't a very successful movie. I remember that it bombed at the box office. Regarding Henry is more of my type of drama because it's message is universal and its a real tear jerker. I think my favorite Harrison Ford movie would be Star Wars. I just love Han Solos bravado. Lol Start Wars wouldn't have been the same without Harrison in it.

Regardinf Henry is good, but I prefer his performance in this one...
I think part of a reason this movie didn't do well at the box office was perhaps Ford's image as an action hero so the idea of him as a human being, a man, seemed silly to tabloid celeb-following culture...

I'd say he was most interesting, for me, in either Witness or Mosquito Coast. Up to that point, he was pretty much only an action hero so it was interesting to see him play human characters, and flawed ones at that. In the end, though, once you've seen all of his acting tricks (the yelling, intense glare, the bashful look at his feet followed by a timid look, and the crooked finger point), you've pretty much seen his full range. Good movie star, but just an okay actor.

Never been a fan. He always looks like he needs a bath.
