I liked them too. Good ones cut from the film too on the DVD extras. Even though the mockumentary approach is not my taste I would love to see another from Christopher Guest and co. Too bad this was their last.
Kiss at the End of the Rainbow was the biggest tear jerker since the end of Old Yeller. I would totally buy all the Mitch & Mickey albums if they really existed. My fave song is "When You're Next to Me" which was cut from the movie but is in the DVD extras and can be heard over the end credits. All the songs are really well written and Catherine O'Hara's voice is pure magic. (fun fact: she was the voice of Sally in Nightmare Before Christmas)
ps I would also buy Mitch's solo albums "A Cry for Help" and "Calling It Quits" lmao
