Discuss Branded to Kill

Wow. I thought I'd seen this one before but after watching all the way through I have to say it's something else. A straight hitman crime noir with all kinds of absurdist touches. I don't think it's as clever as it thinks it is, but it sure did entertain. In the end the main character went through so many mood swings and changes I had no feeling at all for him. Should you watch it? Do you like art films? Film noir? Then probably yeah. I can't get it out of my head.

What does "branded to kill" even mean? Something tells me the translation didn't work out, because it's nonsense.

fits the movie perfectly because not much makes sense.
