Remake as good as La Bête Humaine (1938)

Probably as good as the original French version thanks to the killer cast. Ford is a bit creepy leering at teenage girls but it was I different time, I guess.

update after rewatching on Criterion Channel" Rewatched after a long break. Love Grahame and Crawford in this. Now if Ford wasn't in it and they cut out that inappropriate teenage girl with the tightest sweater ever then you'd have a great film. Lang's direction is workman like but flat.
