Masking is necessary. Full nudity is not regularly accepted for non-adult films, as stated in the Image Bible.

I guess I would need some clarification from the moderators if exposed nipples are acceptable or not. The Image Bible states "Some posters with brief nudity are accepted." The Roman Porno series of films are not considered adult or XXX rated but they are exploitation movies by design. Posters with masking elements on them are not original images. They were added by commercial sites to advertise these movies to the general public. If the posters in the Roman Porno series, which mainly use naked women in various states of undress, are unacceptable in their original form maybe they should be moved to the Adult section or have a content warning.

They can't be moved to the adult section since they're not strictly pornographic films per TMDb standards. Ultimately, it will just depend from case to case, side-nipple and butt shots are probably fine from my point of view, but again that's just me, another moderator might disagree.

The reason why those commercial sites use those masking is the same reason why we would prefer those images instead of the uncensored ones.

Newest releases of these movies tend to have less explicit artwork too, that's the other alternative. But I understand preferring the original theatrical posters too.

Well, that puts me in a gray area of not knowing how much is too much. Since the number of nipples and naked backsides can vary from poster to poster I would not want to risk censure from another moderator who might not be so tolerant in the future. If posters censored by commercial sites are preferable would it be permissible to submit posters that I mask myself in an equivalent manner?

Should be fine as long as it isn't too obvious and the overall image quality is proper.

Thank you for allowing me to do this. For the posters that I submitted without masking should I redo them? If so, can I remove the posters from the site in edit mode or can it only be done on your end.

Only moderators can remove images. Reporting them will allow us to notice and delete them as soon as possible.
