Weak plot and quite cookie cutter, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is still a fun flick for the novelties but don't expect to get your mind blown. Eva Green is wonderful as always but it looks like Burton has permanently fallen into that cradle of mediocrity without producing a significant flick in years.
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) - 3 outta 5 stars

Hey Scorpion!
Yeah, it was OK but it was just the same story that most kid's stories are like. I love Terrence Stamp too. Did you watch Westworld ? Its SO good this season! I will be over there to write some stuff soon.

What surprised me about this movie when I first watched it in theaters was just how violent it was. I was like, this is supposed to be for kids?

Meh, no blood. It really reminded me of an anime called Bleach in which there are invisible evil souls called hollows and only the gifted can actually see them. Of course, Japanese cartoons do actually show blood so they are a bit edgier when it comes to that stuff. But the point is that the violence is directed towards "monsters" and no blood is shown. The one that really surprised me (pleasantly, I might add) was the LOTR trilogy. The showed all kinds or Orcs getting decapitated and blood flying all over the place. That shit was dope and also aimed mostly to children.

But man, does she not have the perfect set or what? Even my girlfriends, who usually stop at nothing to find a fault in other women were like, "Yeah, they're perfect".
