Did someone else get the pun on the Times Square billboard featuring "From Dusk till Shaun"? (referring to the movies Shaun of the Dead and From Dusk till Dawn).
It was very curious to see that one of the creators of this movie has a taste very similar to mine, to cross-reference a 1996 kind-of-B movie with a not so famous zombie one in a movie for kids :)

I knew about it prior to the movie being released (I follow Edgar Wright on Instagram..he posted about it, couldn't be happier).

I guess in that Universe, Shaun of the Dead got a sequel with a play on the title of From Dusk Til Dawn! I guess the filmmakers are fans! Kudos to them!!!

Probably splitting hairs, but Shaun of the Dead is probably a lot more well known than From Dusk Till Dawn. People went mental over Shaun of the Dead and still do today. It was everywhere. I rarely hear anyone mention From Dusk Till Dawn anymore. A shame as I always saw FDTD as the much better film. Not that SOTD isn't good. Just that I never saw it as the phenomenon of British cinema that everyone made it out to be.

Yes, I got it when I watched the film. I agree with you that this is an offbeat reference in a kids' cartoon. You know they're doing a sequel, right?
