Will there be any more films besides the Godzilla (2014), Kong Skull Island, Godzilla King of Monsters, and Godzilla vs Kong in this monsterverse shared universe? When is it likely that more films would be confirmed?

I disagree...its gonna come down to plain 'ol BOX OFFICE! If BOTH films do well, bet on more in the Monsterverse! If they don't, it'll likely end with KvG (I'm truly hoping NOT though)

Hopefully Rodan, Mothra and maybe Ghidorah (depending on whether any of them die or not) get a good following and can get stand alone films! Guess we'll have to wait & see.

Update: America has spoken, they'd rather have a saturation of super hero movies and animated/live action remakes then anything to do with "giant monsters destroying cities". I honestly expect Kong v Godzilla to be the LAST in the Monsterverse.

Who told you that? How about sticking to the script instead of making shit up.

$49 million this past weekend? It was tracking 50-55 million, then UP to $60-$65 mill after opening bigger then Kong: Skull Island (Thurs previews & Friday) ...but ended up with only $49 mill domestically...on a $170 million Production budget?!
Don't hate the messenger! I LOVE me some Godzilla and have seen all 3 Monsterverse films first weekend (in either IMAX or Dolby Atmos). I even buy all the merchandise! But very few avg moviegoers feel the same!
Please counter with something more plausible then me "making shit up". Just puttin' the facts out there!

So it did well and you're still not happy.

Do you consider $49 million domestically "good" for such a large tentpole film? Especially with a $170 mill budget?
On the flipside, a tiny movie like 'Ma' on its meager $5 mill budget made $18 mill this same weekend (promptly stealing some of Godzilla's audience to add insult to injury).
Yes, I'm dissappointed in its BO take and I'm MORE then sure WB is too! it should've made MORE then Kong: Skull Island at least! Put yourself in the shoes of a WB/Legendary Executive...would you green light more Monsterverse movies?

GvK is already in the can (from what I've been reading). It comes out in a short 10 months..so that's a DEFINITE. But not holding my breath on anything else after that UNLESS they go smaller budgetwise.
