I just recently started watching the Lone Wolf and Cub movies, there are six total. More samurai/ninja action than anything else but really good stuff.

Kwaidan. It's an old, anthology horror film based on Japanese folktales. Also Ugetsu Monogatari.

The Sinners of Hell aka Jigoku (1960). It's not a classic, but it's horror.
