So, Teresa looked like she was still doing pretty well after Juan disappeared - killed, I guess. How did she make her money? Did she take over his drug business?

My guess would be that Juan left her well set financially. Failing that, she is different to every other character in the film and there is no reason to think she couldn't have been successful legitimately.
