So there are 3 different reports from the last few years that say this should particular entry should be deleted because it was a "Show" with 3 episodes, not a "Movie". I have watched this series myself and know that It is in fact 3 episodes. But still, why are the reports being closed? My guess is that there are other databases online that also list it as a "Movie" for some reason. thetvdb , moviefone , Reelgood , for example. But there are other sites that list it as a 3 episode Show/mini-series/OVA Wikipedia , IMDb . Even websites that only catalogue Anime list it as a Show MyAnimeList , aniDB , AnimeNewsNetwork . Specifically the last one, AnimeNewsNetwork, I treat as the most reliable since it cannot be directly edited by users only site Mods. And on that page it specifically says as a comment, "This OVA series is often incorrectly referred to as a "Read or Die Movie." just to drive home the point.
I also think that this entry should be deleted because any other site that has more information on the show than just its title, duration, and release year, clearly lists it as having 3 episodes and is a "Show" not a movie. Even on this site, this entry has LESS information on the "Movie" Entry vs the "Show" Entry. So nothing would be lost. Does this site HAVE TO keep it since other database sites have (incorrectly) labeled it as a movie?

The movie entry was created back when TMDb still allowed miniseries, including short OVAs, in both sections. Movie duplicates created during that time are added to a merge list instead of being process by moderators for two reasons a) To avoid user data loss (rating, reviews, etc.) and b) We still have a big number of duplicates in the section. We can't possibly merge every manually.
R.O.D - Read or Die has been added to our list of misplaced miniseries and will be merged by Travis at an undetermined date in the future. There is nothing more we can do at the moment.
