I'll be seeing this one. I hope SC focuses on the women's POV as a companion to the 1971 version.
I wanted Mike Fassbender (imagine that snake in that henhouse!) for the role that went to Colin Farrell. But, the moment I heard Colin yell, fully Irish, in the teaser/trailer, "What have you done?! You vengeful btches!" I was sold.
The Gothic South will rise again.

Cool, this is the first I've heard of this remake. I remember enjoying the original, especially Elizabeth Hartman.

I loved the original and just watched the trailer for this and it looks amazing, had to stop about 1/3rd in cause it was just so good! Even though I know the story, I still want to wait for it! Anyone now the release date?
Never mind, just saw they have that info on their main page... June!

I just watched the trailer, and immediately added it to my watchlist. It looks so good. I didn't even know there was an older version, so now I'm curious about that, as well!

Me, too. If not for IMDb, I'd have thought Coppola's film was all there was.
