Stupid English title

Really? That's the best title that they could think of to translate the original French title? It's not like they already had correct translation of that famous historic phrase, right?

It's possible that such title was intended to draw more people to watch it, but distributors are dumb themselves if they think such stupid idea can connect this movie to the romantic drama from 80's. This is Polanski, in French, about a historical political scandal from more that 100 years ago in France, I am pretty sure the only people that would watch this are people that can understand the correct title.
