It's been a very long time since Henry Cavill has been in anything good. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed. I guess it's because he's starring in a movie with Alexandra Daddario - his female equivalent. I had suggested that they star in a remake of Body Heat, but this may be just as good as BH.

It's hard to say based on the cast, but the premise sounds intriguing so I hope it's decent.

Watched last night, its gonna be hit and miss for some based on what they like, for me its a solid 8/10 could have been a 9 or 10 if they had better pacing but overall a decent thriller. Definitely a new director to keep an eye on imo.

It turned out to be quite mediocre. A good cast, but the script is very weak and basically jumps from one scene to another and often the events of the previous scene seem to be completely forgotten. I'm not sure why they even added Ben Kingsley's vigilante character to the movie at all. He ultimately ends up having rather little screen time and doesn't really add anything to the film and the film would've worked equally well, or badly, without him.

I just watched the trailer, what's up with all of the mish mash of accents? Is this based on one of those Swedish thriller types?

Yeah, seems like it wanted to be one of those type of thrillers. I also didn't quite get why Henry Cavill and Ben Kingsley got to keep their accents, seemed odd.
I agree, very average. What happened to Ben Kingsley, his acting was awful in this, particularly his scenes at the police station (there's a moment he gets angry and is meant to hit the wall or something, but seems like he just taps it).
I thought his character was key in that he was the one who discovered Simon and that he also inadvertently freed him at that end. But otherwise, his sub plot seemed out of place. How can police just let a vigilante like that go when they knew he was castrating people (albeit deservedly)??

A confusing and absurd film. Senseless scenes follow one another quickly. The plot is very weak, almost a farce. Yet the cast was top notch (except Cavill who moves like a bear). Very insufficient
