Stupid, Stupid Ending

I was on board for the whole movie until that dumb ending comes out of nowhere. It's like they swapped the third act with a totally different movie.

I was so glad of all the plot twist in the movie and i dont thing it was dumb at all. Maybe is cuz i love all demon movies since i saw all the classics like rose mary baby and other stuff.

It's been a few months since I've seen this but I do not understand the whole "he can't breathe the air" part when it turns out he's a demon/antichrist son of satan or whatever. Why would the nuns set up a house where the kid can survive if the kid is a demon?
I stand by my original post, the twist that the kid is some kind of demon totally contradicts everything that came before it. The nuns were morons, the demon kid wins solely because of their stupidity.
