Can't we just let this franchise rest in peace already!

The franchise is already dead to me! the last CP film worth a damn was 3 in my view and the rest were just a spin-off starring Chucky and his family, i really hated the last 4 films turning the character into a joke and i'm sick of it, i mean they are beating this dead horse with a TV show and a remake, i say pull the plug on this franchise and new horror icons and new horror franchises.

I agree with you. I enjoyed bride, but the rest haven't lived up to the hype. I hate Chucky's new look, his actions change per movie wanting a body and being content as a doll. It's ridiculous he could get the voodoo to work from a website and a book for dummies. If it has any dignity it should rest in peace. Not become Pinocchio or a serial.

Does anyone remember when Chucky was on WCW "feuding" with Rick Steiner? That was the dumbest thing in the realm of Child's Play to me.

Curse and Cult were actually a pretty good return to form for the franchise. The only Chucky movie I don't really like is Seed and even that has its good moments.

There's only one good film in this franchise, and that's the first one with its great blend of horror, suspense and wickedly black humor.

I completely disagree with this. It's your opinion for sure but CP 2 is hilarious and suspenseful and has good character development between Andy and his foster sister. CP 3 isn't that great but it has some great one-liners "Chucky's gonna be a bro!".
I looooove Bride of Chucky. It's goofy as hell but Jennifer Tilly is great as Tiffany. We don't speak of Seed that much, and as I said Curse and Cult were fun because you get Fiona Dourif joining the franchise and the multiple Chuckys. I'm just glad they didn't do Chucky in Space.
