Even on paper this villain or hero.....I don't even know which one he is supposed to be and I consider myself one of the EU's top Kraven experts on the virtue of being one of the few people who actually watched this movie........where was I......yes even on paper this dude sounds super dull. His back story? He got bitten by a lion or something and Miriam Makeba or Mama Africa gave him a magical potion and now he has some skills of a lion or something I guess. How does he put these skills to use? He uses them to hunt and punish poachers. Wait a minute. Isn't he a big game hunter in the comics? If anything shouldn't he be joining the fun and high fiving those hunter bros. Anyways nothing to see here really. A rather dull movie with lackluster action scenes and the plot is uninteresting, generic and dull. I wouldn't say it's even close to being one of the worst movies of the year though. More like a solid 5/10 movie.

The movie is actually better than people might expect. Don't get me wrong, it's still dumb and silly, but even with such weak material this movie is way better than the likes of Morbius and Venom. Because Kraven actually has a nicely written script, which is a mixed bag of already washed up ideas and cliches, but nevertheless I was entertained. The characters, as silly as they are, had clear purposes and goals, had unique identity, progressed the dumb plot as proper movie should, the action was not bad and done well, and the overall plot structure was decently constructed and presented to the viewers from start to finish. Everything is obviously over the top and ridiculous, however there was a consistent and clear logic of the causality in this plot. We can criticize the intentions and artistic decisions, but in the frame of this plot, the story was told in a decent way.
As much as bad movies go, Kraven is quite watchable and decent as entertainment.

I seriously risked falling asleep. I, who in my video collection I have 34 Marvel films. Perhaps it depends on the fact that the character is not very suitable for a cinematographic transposition? 5/10.
