Lots of amateurish acting and weird scenes, seems more like a play than a movie. Seems more like Shakespeare or something than a realistic story. The story is ok but there is not much to it, and then a terrible ending.

The only thing I can remember from this film is Pacino's awful accent and manner of speech.

I don't watch any of that crap, I watch good films. Sean Penn does a good job but there is just not much to it. He is sleazy lawyer turned coked up bad guy, not much else to it. Ratings don't mean much, there are terrible things that are highly rated, and great things that hardly anyone knows about. Also I seem to recall a lot of stuff like Toy Story (ANIMATED FLICKS!!!!!!) being top of IMDB for many years.

Al Pacino playing a Latino American, as with Scarface, does feel a bit funny to me. I liked it when Penn's character caught his comeuppance -- well-played.

Pacino is about as good with Latino accents as Ben Kingsley is with American accents.
