It's got great characters and a lot of humanity and humour along with the hard hitting truths about America's troubled and troubling history. Reckon it could have benefited from a few trims though.

Don't say that to Spike Lee! He went on record as saying that the mixture of slavery subject matter and exploitation disrespects his ancestors, and that he wouldn't see the film.>

Well personally I think Lee is a bit of douche, but that's just my opinion.

It's one of my favorite Tarantino films as well. It's just enjoyable start to finish and I was never bored once. I've seen it about 6 times already.

I kinda agree with you, although I don't like to elevate people's early work too highly (Not saying you're necessarily doing this. But anywhoo). But I do strongly dislike this and The Hateful Eight.
