The Shining is one of my favorite ghost movies, but let's hear some other great choices! I'll list ten and I'll try to name some uncommon ones in the hopes of broadening our viewing repertoire, yours and mine! :)
The Haunting - the Robert Wise version. A true classic of the genre The Innocents - a superb psychological ghost film with Deborah Kerr The Changeling - Canadian film with George C Scott, it is SCARY! Legend of Hell House - my favorite haunted house film! The Portrait of Jennie - a romantic film with Jennifer Jones, heartbreaking... Hold That Ghost - classic Abbott & Costello comedy Kwaidan - the 2001 of Japanese ghost stories. Simply stunning cinematography! A Christmas Carol - several awesome versions, I like the 1930'sversion the most. The Ghost and Mrs. Muir - heartwarming Golden age of Hollywood film. Ghost Story - vengeful ghost story, with Fred Astaire believe it or not...

Beetlejuice
The Blair Witch Project
Dark Night of the Scarecrow
Dark Water
Burnt Offerings
I can only think of 5 that I really liked (ghost horror isn't my favorite subgenre). Also, there are lots of classic ghost movies that I haven't gotten around to watching yet.
