The alternate ending

There is a foreign version of the Shining with the deleted ending that's impossible to finds. Stanley Kubrick changed the ending of The Shining after it had been in theatres for about three days that had the Torrances in a hospital room and had the audience learn that Ullman knew what happened at the hotel the whole time.
I wished it was released. It would fit in perfectly and add in that last moment of mystery & dread

There are at least two official versions the European cut and the US cut which is actually longer and has added scenes but I vividly remember seeing a Shining version on VHS that lasted almost three hours in which Jack's boredom and path to madness becomes more chilling, but I never heard or seen the ending described by the OP .
