Agreed. I always just fast forward through the twist. The soundtrack is amazing, also.

I've only seen it once so far (several years ago), but it's definitely on my rewatch list. I'd seen Signs shortly before it and hated that movie, so my expectations for The Village were very low. I ended up liking it a lot though... underrated indeed!

I thought that it was a pretty good movie. Genius idea of telling the story. The twist was a surprise but when it happened, I realised what Sigourney Weaver's character was trying to say when she kept repeating that a crime had been committed and called for action.

I found the film very engaging. Never understood the bad reviews.

I did like the first half. It was eerie and atmospheric. But I felt all the tension disappeared once you find out what the creatures are.
