Eve Harrington: Stalker?

I was just thinking the other day that if All About Eve was made today (and I pray to Diety that never happens), Eve would be considered a stalker. Does anyone wonder how Eve would get access to Margo if the movie was made today?

In today's world she would never get access unless she was a close friend of a close friend.

I don't think it would be possible to change the nature of Eve because a character like her and similar movies have been inspired by All About Eve. I really don't think that anything original cane be added to the story.

I own this on dvd and have never made it to the end. I usually get about three quarters of the way through and fall asleep. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it either. Will give it another go during the day and try to stay awake.
