I Feel This Is Very Underrated

It is shame there will be no sequel, I really enjoyed it and I am now reading the novel and then will read the sequel because I doubt there is will be a movie sequel due to the poor performance at the box office.

Agreed. I think it's a creative movie that shows humen's intimidation by aliens or anything that is strange to them. The box office can be just unjust.
