They've been presenting themselves with Me Captain as their title in every foreign country and international awards. Just as an example, the movie has been nominated to several European Film Awards (European Oscars) as Me Captain (https://europeanfilmawards.eu/en_EN/film/me-captain.22607#2023-nominated)

However in some contexts they still use the original Italian title, Io Capitano (that's the title they've been officially nominated to the Golden Globes with: https://goldenglobes.com/film/io-capitano/). They've never used or presented themselves as The Captain.
