Discuss The Crow

And the reviews are in... I figured it would be slammed but wow this is harsh.

"this version ... is neither the film nor the comic, but rather the flattened popular image that the film produced — a Hot Topic-style version of alternative consciousness." -- New York Times

"Incoherent and cheap, with its aesthetic sensibilities seemingly cribbed from an elevator pitch of “John Wick goes goth,” Sanders’s version of The Crow is a truly ugly thing to endure." -- Globe and Mail

"The Crow 2.0 is a total, head-in-hands disaster, incoherently plotted and sloppily made, destined to join the annals of the very worst and most pointless remakes ever made." -- The Guardian

Can't say I feel sorry for anyone, though. What the Hollywood cash grabbers failed to realize is what made the original so enduring was Brandon Lee. You can't remake that.

Apparently the protagonist is not The Crow but the black woman. A “sex worker” for extra feminist points.

The original Crow movie is definitely one of those movies that didn't need a remake...

Watched it and while definitely not a good movie I'd say it's far from being the worst movie of the year. A pretty generic 5/10 movie that probably should've been released straight to streaming services.
