1 - Please, don't change the names like that when you encounter a duplicate, just report. We see those kind of edits as vandalism, and your account could get potentially suspended as cause of that.
2 - What is consider a duplicate is the page with lowest ID number (see the URL), since this one is lower we consider it the original entry.
