One of my all-time favorite character actors. He could play everymen, heavies, idiots, rubes, heroes, and cowards. I loved him in every role I saw him in. Man, he'll be missed.
I've seen dude in at least a dozen films, but yet, I can't name a favorite role out of them all. In my opinion, that's a good thing. It's like there's no standout for me, he was equally good in all of them. Rest in peace, Ned.

While his role in Life (1999) was relatively small, he brought wonderful pathos and humanity to it.
