But TV critics seem to favor Kathy Lee while audiences diss her whereas audiences seem attentive to that Kelly while critics bring her down.
Either way, however, Regis would come out gleaming that bright Philbin smile even if you knew deep down inside that you'd never win a million dollars; but, if you ever do, then they're going to take that away from you anyway, just as they did with poor Regis.

Regis was definitely big on t.v. for a long time in past decades.
