What a one-of-a-kind zany treasure Paul Reubens was as Pee-wee Herman. Such a memorably loopy character.

Yeah. Very few adults can get away with forever-being-in-touch with their inner child. Pee-wee was one of those few.

I just realized it's now been nearly 40 (!!!) years since the movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) was released. How time has flown - yet Pee-wee continues to seem like of not all that long ago.
