I've watched 3 episodes so far and found the story telling a mixture of captivating and tedious. Versace family characters very underdeveloped. Haven't found any individual episode reviews from sources I recognize but what I have seen ranges from neutral to positive with Jon Jon Briones performance highly praised. That I think Matt can take credit for as it's Briones debut or close to. It would be a delight to see Matt get nominated for directing but even more so to see a performance he directed win. Think there is an episodic director category at the Emmys. Notable also is the amount of media coverage of Matt's directorial debut has generated. Many actor's direct TV episodes almost annoymously.

I was also surprised at the amount of media coverage.
