Luke's Wikipedia page under the subcategory of "After acting" says that he's been experiencing some major health problems in recent years.
After many years filming out in the sun and then doing outdoor stunt work, this can create problems, but Luke was so good at what he did all the way around that he made his shows very enjoyable.
Hope that he's doing better these days, and thanks for many jobs well done.

I sincerely hope that Luke is doing okay... I adored watching reruns of Flipper as a kid and his film with Richard Greene Island of the Lost was a guilty pleasure that I was semi-obsessed with as a teenager... Luke Halpin was one of my early crushes, too!
I have just read his Wikipedia page and it sounds like recent years have been tough on him and his family indeed... thoughts and prayers.
