Searching for V/H/S doesn't return anything

I am trying to find the movie V/H/S but it is practically impossible to reach it with any kind of query

Try putting it in quotes "V/H/S" the search maybe interrupting the symbol / as a search break.

yes that gets back the result but doesn't solve the problem. Those characters should be escaped on the server. It is currently impossible to find that movie from the API.
A normal user will never insert quotes or think to insert quotes. Also if I add quotes by default, it messes up the search for other movies.
