I just wanted to add alternate names to http://www.themoviedb.org/person/164522-lynn-marie-stetson and was forced to make up a birthday to continue.
PS: The message says ISO8601 is ok (YYYY with optional -MM-DD) but entering just a year takes that as something else, seems like days since epoch or similar. But that happens for release dates, too.

The is still an issue. Should be taken care of ASAP, as otherwise the DB will get filled with wrong birthday dates, just to be able to add some extra info.
"but entering just a year takes that as something else" --> That works for me, but still it is needed to enter /something/.
Anyhow, as Karl used "1800-01-01" as a workaround, I have started to do the same for entries I made (without having a birthday / year at hand).
So, after fixing the issue, a database cleanup run should be made to remove the bithdates 1800-01-01. And everyone else: Please just use this workaround, so that at least everybody handles this the same way...
