Trying to add a film that isn't in the system, but db reports that imdb is already taken....

I'm trying to add the film "Three Men in a Boat" (1956) IMDB tt0049847. However the system keeps saying, "Imdb is already taken by Three Men in a Boat (ID: 78329) and Three Men In A Boat (ID: 55004)".

Both 78329 and 55004 exist. When you get this error paste the number after https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/ so that you have two new links:
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/78329 https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/55004
Check both of those. They both exist. I reported 55004 and requested that it be deleted. If you want to add content for tt0049847 add it to 78329. Don't make a new movie entry now that you know it exists.

But 78329 isn't the same film. That's the 1979 version starring Michael Palin. I'm trying to add the 1956 version starring Laurence Harvey

Okay, I got it.
2006 / tt0756255 / 55004
1975 / tt0073803 / 78329
1956 / tt0049847 / XXXXX
I fixed the imdb numbers for the 2006 and 1975 releases. You should be able to make the 1956 entry by using the imdb number I gave above (tt0049847)... Unless someone has already taken that id, too :p

Thank you. I'll give it a go later today. I'm not sure if it's worth pointing out, but the 2006 version that somebody has entered is a two part TV show not a film.

Oh, thanks punking. I've added the "TV Movie" genre tag to the 2006 entry. There are a bunch of TV specials added to this database. A lot of users keep TV specials the same way they keep movies so it's convenient to have a scraper that can find the info and fanart for them. One good example is the long list of Derren Brown specials. Each was broadcast on TV, but has a TMDB entry.
TV specials are kind of a grey area, but personally, I'd vote to leave them in this database.
