It seems that recently the precision of vote_average (user rating) in the movie details API has been changed from 1 to 3 digits. For example https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/545611 currently returns 8.334 for vote_average instead of just 8.3. Is this a new API implementation or a temporary glitch?

Hi @betamagic, the previous 1 digit precision should be rolling in back in slowly, you'll see everything updated within the next few hours.

Hi @travisbell, It seems that the digit precision of vote_average (user rating) in the movie details API is again 'too precise'...

That's... odd.
I've re-generated some of the items again, so just as before, they'll be rolling back over the next little while.

Indeed a bit odd. Wrong direction of the wind maybe? :)
Thanks again Travis!

I'm importing all my movies to my Synology with the TMDB API but a lot of movies are not imported because of this issue which is still a problem. For example American History X gives a rating of 8.358. When I manually change it to 8.4 the movie will be imported.

I followed the instructions from https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/634c0d22a61de1007effbb93 but after the sudo vi ./search.py command, I'm not sure what is supposed to happen? I was expecting some text file where I could edit the lines. This is my output and I'm stuck at this.
Putty output
