An ongoing gang war between Moorthy and Venkatesh’s gangs reaches boiling point when Venkatesh loses Horse Ravi, his right hand. Venkatesh’s confidante, Vijay, takes immediate revenge for Ravi’s death. The police, led by SI Arun, decide to take the gang members out in an encounter. In the past, Vijay is best friends with Arun, with both undergoing police training.

Vijay’s ex, Maha tries to persuade him to come back to his old life. In the past, Vijay is seen dating Maha and wins her hand by impressing her father, Vishwanath.

After their engagement, Maha begs Arun to not hurt Vijay. In the past, Kumar and Maha’s paths cross and he falls for her immediately. Meanwhile, Horse Ravi launches an ambush on Moorthy’s men.

Minister Mahadevan coaxes Venkatesh to help him ‘encounter’ Vijay. Vijay’s estranged family kicks him out when he visits them. In the past, Kumar threatens Vijay to stay away from Maha. A horrible tragedy hits Vijay and family on their parent’s wedding anniversary.

Arun is reprimanded for the botched encounter of Vijay. In the past, Vijay finds out the dark truth behind his father’s suicide. On the other hand, Ganesan masterminds a feud between Kumar and Bhava.

Vijay refuses Mahadevan’s offer to betray Venkatesh. In the past, Horse Ravi and team plans a sketch for Kumar and Bhava, while Vijay decides to confront Bhava to avenge his father.

In the past, Vijay is arrested for murdering Bhava and undergoes trial. The case takes a sharp turn when an unlikely ally comes to Vijay’s defence.

Ganesan uses Kumar as bait to rile up Venkatesh. In the past, Kumar blackmails Vijay and assigns him to kill Mahadevan’s political rival, MP Mathiyazhagan.

An escalating gang war erupts from Ganesan’s murder. In the past, Vijay’s family has to give up their house and move to a new one, which is not easy considering Vijay’s tarnished name in his community after his arrest.

Venkatesh’s daughter, Ranjani, accuses her stepmother, Subbu, of having an affair with Vijay. In the past, Venkatesh prepares a coming-of-age celebration for Ranjani amidst the threats from Moorthy’s gang while Vijay tries to clear the air with Vishwanath.

In the past, Arun asks for Maha’s hand and convinces her why. In the present, Arun devises a plan to pacify the two gangs by calling for a meeting between them and the police force.

Maha’s father and Arun look for her everywhere. Kumar intends to finish off Venkatesh at the meeting, unbeknownst to Moorthy and Venkatesh.

Moorthy and Venkatesh come to a compromise and rekindle their friendship at the meeting, while Vijay is stopped by unknown assailants as he searches for Maha. More danger lurks at the otherwise peaceful reunion of the gang leaders.
