Maria needs money to pay her new lawyer. She is forced to turn to the world to which she had sworn never to return: advertising. This hostile situation makes her relive her beginnings.
After three years, María is released from prison and will have to face reintegration. She makes a promise to one of her fellow prisoners, which she will try to keep however she can. She will fight her fears by praying to be guided by Saint Teresa.
María struggles to face reintegration, as prejudice and distrust soon surface in those who discover that she has been in jail; she works hard to keep her promise, though her daughter doesn't make it easy for her.
María makes one last attempt to be social again and goes to a party. Clinging to her faith and her prayers to Santa Teresa, she tries to fight the demons that come her way, but it is not that easy.
With no change of clothes, no money, desperate and very sweaty, María arrives in Torrevieja. She set out to fulfil her promise and continues in her endeavour.
