Good revelation moment but I still think it's silly lol great job acting surprised & affected when reading a post by GG

I'm currently re-watching and it's ridiculous that Dan's supposed to be Gossip girl.
They could have literally chosen any background character.

I just finished watching the show for the first time. I went in knowing that Dan was Gossip Girl, so I kinda watched the series looking for clues that it was him. Even though there are plot holes I think the writers didn't make a huge stretch in making Dan Gossip Girl. I wasn't a fan of who he became in the later seasons, but if that is who he was supposed to be all along I could see it all making sense.
