Can you seriously name a show that is as overrated as GOT? I don't think you can. I can't.
The Big Bang Theory
Thing is Big Bang Theory is no where near the hype that GOT is. I mean you got people saying WINTER IS COMING! You don't have people saying any of Sheldon's catch phrases LOL.

Relatively it evens out. GOT has the quality and depth to back itself up. Big Bang Theory is a 20 minute long cringe each installment.

I think GOT has the best cinematography and production value and quality hands down. Anyone who disagrees is just a plain hater. However the actual story line and character development and actors aren't nearly as good as the brain washed fans pretend that it is.

Can you provide examples of any TV shows with better story and character development? Other than The Wire. If you can I'd like to be watching them.

Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Men, pretty much most of the big AMC shows

Fair answer. Being from the UK , we don't actually have AMC so I don't know which shows your referring to there. I tend to stream on Netflix, etc.
I love Breaking Bad as much as the next guy. The story and characterization are both very good. I'm not sure they're better than GOT though. We're talking about a show with story and characters so complex and layered that it's pretty tough to compete. Breaking Bad's story is pretty straightforward. Very well told, but straightforward none the less. Better Call Saul I'd actually say has better characterization than BB.
Mad Men I tried once. I absolutely adored the first episode. It was a fascinating look at the 50's advertising industry. But after that it seemed to descend into affairs and office romance. I only watched a few episodes but it did seem to miss what initially made it so captivating. But I do recognise it's very well regarded and I do intend to give it another go at some point as I was quite impatient with it. So, yeah you could be right on that one.

Yeah AMC is probably the best channel here in the states. Bryan Cranston is by far the best actor on tv of the new millennium. Talk about range.
Better Call Saul is actually like a prequel of Breaking Bad as its the origin story of Saul Goodman the lawyer in BB. Better Call Saul can even be a greater show than BB, if they do it right, it has the potential since we still have to learn what made Jimmy go totally corrupt and become a Criminal defense lawyer and enter that world.
Yes you are correct Mad Men started off amazing. So did The Walking Dead. The first season of TWD was incredible.
Again no one on GOT is that great of an actor. But then again how much range can they show being a self centered every man for themselves jerk in medieval times?

The Walking Dead is the first show that springs to mind when talking of overrated shows.
