Discuss The Walking Dead

When Morgan was re-introduced to the show he was interesting. His outlook on life provided a way for the show to provoke the question of 'is it possible to be passive or non-violent in this new world.' Things happened that examined that question quite well. It was a nice element to the show when it was fresh. However, I believe the show has given an answer to the question. It seems the writers are beating a dead horse here with Morgan still pushing this view (even though he has already rescinded this view to some extent).

What do you think? Is Morgan's non-violent approach still an intriguing aspect to the show? Was it even intriguing to begin with?

It was intriguing at first. However, with the way things are going with the Saviors, I believe that it's an all hands on deck kind of situation. In order to get out from under Negan's thumb, all participants need to be willing to do whatever it takes to win. And, yes, I'm talking about all groups that provide for the Saviors, not just the few that have signed up to fight so far.

Situational ethics has been one of the major themes of this show from the beginning and continues to be. Morgan and Carol are the characters currently dealing with it. How far can or should one go to preserve their life/lives of the group/way of life.

I think he's still trying to show that people have to keep son civility even in the darkest time. That's a tough thing to do. I still love Morgan. I just don't see him lasting long.

I think Morgan will be the next major character to die.

I vote for Carol.

I have Carol on the untouchables list, along with Rick, Michonne and Daryl. We shall see, bwahahaa .....

You're right. The feminazis would go apeshit if they offed Carolbo.

They drew first blood, not me!

So if they off Daryl, would the bro-nazi's go apeshit? Along with rioting, that is?

Actually, the teenyboppers would go apeshit. He's like a heartthrob or something. I personally think there should be an episode where they tie him down and wash him for torture. Coulda swore that was coming when he was at the Negan compound.

Hilarious image. I don't get the Daryl heartthrob thing either. Rick on the other hand.....

Well maybe my impression of him being a heartthrob is skewed due to the fact that I saw a teenybopper wearing a T-shirt that said something to the effect of if they kill off Daryl we riot. I think this was in a Hot Topic store in the mall. It was a WHILE ago, like second or third season.

What gets me about Andrew Lincoln is not his face, which is handsome, but how he has maintained that 22-year-old waist drives me insane. Guy has like 10% body fat. He could do a GD underwear commercial FFS and he is a month older than me! That is dedication to the craft my friend.

I was kind of hoping that Negan would kill Daryl in episode 1. Test the Daryl riot thing, also stick it to the whiners who complain that no major characters ever get killed anymore. That would have shut them up.

That is ridiculous when they started off the season with a double whammy. There's barely any major characters left to kill off.

Before this season, that was a major complaint, that this show has gone soft and refuses to kill off any major characters. A Daryl head bashing would have, as Negan would say, "shut that shit down." Also to test all the teenyboppers who say they will stop watching the show if Daryl is killed off. Not that I am anxious for that to happen.
