Discuss The Walking Dead

When remembering how good this show was in seasons 1 and 2, watching the travesty of what this show has become is downright painful.

I haven't watched the last two episodes now, and even the synopses I'm reading are painful to read.

So, here's how the next and, mercifully, last episode should go, in my humble opinion...

OPENING CREDITS

A SINGLE AIRPLANE CRAWLS ACROSS THE SKY

EVERYONE STOPS FIGHTING TO LOOK UP IN WONDERMENT

A PAYLOAD DROPS, A PARACHUTE OPENS. WHAT COULD IT BE? VACCINES? GPS LOCATORS TO ASSIST RESCUE OPERATIONS?

BLINDING FLASH - SCREEN GOES FROM BLINDING WHITE TO BLACK

END CREDITS

What happens to Rick? Carl? Michonne? Carol? Daryl? The movie star? The professor and Mary Ann?

Who cares. I might have cared back in season 3. But this show has gone on well past its expiry date.

Maybe the payload landed on the camera?

YIKES!! A NUKE!!?? That is a very tragic end to my Rickster after struggling all these years. Reminds me of Romero's "The Crazies".

Rick wakes up it was all a long dream. Roll credits

Oh hell no.

LOL

The show's not going anywhere. I think Chandler Riggs got testy when he knew he was off the show, and talked like it was headed outtie. But he was wrong.

I never thought the show was as good as you say, I always thought it was good in fits and starts. Which is why I kept watching it. Every now and again we'd get an awesome episode but then it went back to meandering again. But now the show really is pointless and devoid of purpose.

Bottom line is- if we all want them to stop making it, we all have to stop watching it. I'm out when this season ends. That's set in stone.

There are loads of great tv shows around at the moment, we're spoilt for choice. I haven't found the enthusiasm to watch the last 3 episodes of TWD. I'm currently watching great stuff like Mindhunter, Fargo and Mr Robot and I'm expected to put those on pause to watch a bunch of vacuous characters fath about in the woods?

Let's all call it quits. We all deserve better!

Well, I've already given up. I haven't watched anything TWD since Sasha died, whatever season or episode that was. It's no loss to me, since even before that season, I was really not into it anymore.

I don't think it matters, because people will keep watching it. I have friends who will keep tuning into shows, even when they complain about how much they are terrible, or not as good as they once were. They aren't going to stop. I doubt the show will go away anytime soon. The same slosh will probably be on for 2-3 more seasons.

I haven't stopped watching, but I am never in a hurry, anymore, to see the latest episode. I used to be chomping at the bit, waiting "till next week" to see what happened. I always say that when Andy goes, or Rick, I'm out.
