Miss Sons of Anarchy so much! Absolutely sad when Tara got killed by Gemma. I honestly teared up when Juice confesses to Jax about Tara's murder and when Jax broke down in tears when he talked to Nero.
The series was over for me when Tara died. I am hoping to one day see Maggie's new movie, "A Woman,A Part". Premiere in New York this month! Wish I could be there. I hope it shows where I live. An indie film I think made by Elizabeth Subrin.
I have watched the series through twice on Netflix and am starting it again. I love the women of SOA, the whores and wanna bes. The show was not PC and I loved that about it too.
Yeah I loved Tara. It sucked when Gemma killed her. If Tara had not turned to run she might have fought her off. She was pretty tough. That was the final nail in Jax's coffin. After Opie died he was crushed, and then after Tara, he was gone.
I loved the Sons but it wasn't the same after Opie died. I loved Opie, he was my favorite, and I cried so hard when he died. This may not be a very popular opinion but I absolutely hated Tara and thought there was way too much of her on this show and not enough of the other characters. I also loved Chibbs and would rather have seen more of him and his life instead of being force fed Tara. She was such a witch and I hated how she always called Abel hers on even to Wendy's face.
I loved Chibbs too. I agree they could have given him a bit more, but he was just one of the MC. The focus was on Jax since the plot revolved around what his Dad had said and done, and how Jax eventually came to see things his way. Of course since Jax had such a prominent role, Tara had to have it as well. I can kind of see your point about her. But she got hardened and toughened in no small part because of Gemma. Tara became a colder, more calculating, and tougher person the more she was thrust into the middle of the dynamics between Gemma and Jax, or really Gemma and everyone.
Gemma had a tough childhood and some tough breaks, and she did love Jax and her grandkids, but in a twisted way. She has serious issues. She only quit trying to manipulate and bully everyone around her after she knew Jax was going to kill her.
