I couldn't agree more its one of my favorite all time tv shows. I love the way it was shot and the acting was incredible... it was unmissable.

Yep. I think only The Wire is 'better', although The Shield is still more entertaining.

Comparing the Wire to the Shield is Apples and Oranges. I absolutely love both shows. But you really can't compare them. The Wire is a slow methodical burn with great character development that guts you a piece at a time. The Shield is an adrenaline junkies best friend that feels like a shotgun blast. Just non stop action all day in every episode with quick camera cuts. Again, I loved both shows.
