I have love and hate relationship with her. I think that her ideas are good, I like how the residents get to do more but I hate everything else. So it's mostly hate from me. Also I'm beyond sick that she is Arizonas' new love interest. Just god no, let her teach Webber her good ideas and bla-bla and then leave.
Hate the character. And as I said in IMDB, Arizona was the first one to jump to her side. If Bailey wanted to shake up the program all she had to do was tell Webber to teach Minnick's way, not dump him.
If my decision was already made that I was going in that direction, what I would have done was say that I heard of a new approach for the education of the interns and I wanted him to evaluate it and give me his opinion. Send him on a nice trip to where Minnick worked, shadow her for a few weeks and then come back and report. He might be conviced or not, and could possibly convince me to not go that route. If I'm not convinced to change my mind and he still doesn't want to go in that direction, then I "pull rank" on him: "We're doing this, regardless. You can drive and still be the director of the intern program, or I'll bring in someone who will." But at least I gave him a chance. I didn't backdoor him.
I hate Minnick so much and want her GONE. I mean I get what she's trying to do, but she went about it all wrong and comes across as cocky and entitled. Why not just take the idea of letting the students be more hands on and implement it without having to completely replace Richard. I know everyone is blaming Bailey for Minnick being there, but it was all Catherine (who I can't stand either).
I honestly don't mind her. Sure she might be annoying but this is Greys where meeting a certain level of annoying is practically a requirement (only one who doesn't annoy me is Edwards; I like her).
I just feel like Weber kinda overstayed his welcome (wasn't he retired at one point). And besides Chief of Surgery or whatever title Meredith holds, doesn't she kinda do what Weber/Minnick does, teach residents? So I just don't see the point in him anymore. It's OK if you're loyal to the old class but I like some of the new class too

Minnick suffers from the sin of pride. She needs to learn humility and how to respect others.
